The Presto Tilt 'n Drain's name says it all. This model has tons of cooking real estate, and its surface tilts forward when the handles are pulled apart so that it will drain. The drain works nicely, too — a helpful feature when cooking large quantities of anything that produces ample amounts of grease. Its surface has excellent heat distribution, turning out evenly cooked food across the board.  
While we really like this model for cooking for big groups, we found it hard to clean. The grease drains into the removable catch through a channel that makes a mess in a tricky to clean spot. Also, while the heat distribution across the surface isn't terrible, we have observed better results in other models. Still, this behemoth has a very effective non-stick coating and is a godsend when you need to crank out large quantities of pancakes, eggs, or bacon.

 When you flip it over, you can see the exposed heating element. This is one of the products that came highly recommended for heating consistency on whatever review site Amazon pushed in my face when I was looking at it.  So, it will be cooler around the edges. Adjust your cooking accordingly

 I don't think I even need to wash it right away. I'm just going to take a little damp cloth and wipe the surface. This non-stick surface is really great. So just like any other non-stick pan, you don't want to use like non-stick cooking spray because it just makes it sort of tacky and sticky

 Now I have to use these because it just sounds fun. I don't know that I would recommend you know a lot of scraping with metal on non-stick surfaces the same way you wouldn't on a non-stick skillet but this does seem pretty sturdy. When I used it for the burgers there was no scratching or anything but we'll be gentle. I could probably get away with cooking all this with no oil at all but flavor

 This means that cleanup is a total pain if any of your unwanted material gets congealed or otherwise stuck in there -- you'll have to figure out some way to wedge a brush or some paper towels into the various nooks and crannies, and that's no fun. Another cleanup issue with the tilt 'n drain is the handles. Same problem as the channel. Splattering grease (or even cooking spray) gets into those cracks, and there's no good way to get it out

 I was lured by a larger cooking surface and the promise that it would be "dishwasher safe." That griddle's non-stick surface was non-functional and it had to be scrubbed vigourously before it could be put in the dishwasher. Even more problematic was that its heating element was so uneven that part of a bacon strip would be burning while other parts were barely done at all. We returned that grill

 The statement of even heating had my hopes up and this is my only criticism of this griddle. I should've known that would be too much to expect.  This is not my first rodeo with griddles and I wasn't surprised that the surface was a littel uneven, just disappointed. I have never owned one that heated perfectly even in my lifetime

 I found this to be true. I cook scrambled eggs (enough to cover the entire cooking surface) on this daily and the center area from left to right is always way behind in cooking in comparison to the rest of the cooking surface.  A different review stated that if they left the grill on 10 minutes prior to cooking that the entire surface would heat evenly. NOT A CHANCE! I tried it and, so sorry, doesn't work

  Overall, for the price I think this is a great griddle. Remember you could always pick up a Rival within this price range somewhere and leave half of your food on the cooking surface. Nonetheless, I use this griddle daily and am not looking to replace it. I have had this product for two months now

 Nothing has ever burned. I've used it for pancakes, bacon, zucchini rounds, American fried potatoes, carmelized onions and peppers..

 I find that it cooks evenly enough...perhaps some very slight differences on the griddle, but certainly nice enough for someone who is monitoring the cooking process
