And also to this Pioneer is a well-built turntable. It's nice and heavy.

That’s a cool way to get a turntable. I have a PL-518, too, but I bought mine. I’m going to sell mine, but if I had earned it like you have, I’d probably end up keeping it.

When they say 'Spare Stylus' I assumed they meant that one would be on the Cartridge and another 'spare' would be included. I recieved only one stylus on the cartridge, no spare.

I have a vintage Pioneer PL-518 am a big proponent for vintage tables as in general they are workhorses and you can get pretty good deals on them sometimes. There may be some occasional issues, but my TT is a secondary means of enjoying music, so I don't mind taking the time to fix something if needed. There a ton of resources online such as [VinylEngine.com](https://VinylEngine.com) that have basically every operation and repair manual out there. I like that most vintage tables offer adjustability (anti-skate and down force) and can usually offer a decent upgrade path if you pick the right one.

I'm being generous by giving this two stars . The positives are the price was not steep, the delivery was when promised, and the piece fits correctly. The sound on the other hand is another story. I know it’s not considered a premium deck, but it’s the most solid and precise-feeling turntable I’ve used. It was pretty dirty when I got it, but I cleaned and lubricated it and it’s been absolutely flawless…even came with a nice AT155LC cartridge that sounds amazing.

The cartridge is compatible with my turntable however the little connectors, which are very small, had to be crimped in order to install the cartridge. I do not recommend this cartridge.

Go for a vintage table, at that price point I’d recommend a Pioneer PL-518 or Technics SL-D3. Both are great tables way better than what you can get for the price now. If you don’t want full auto then you can get a semi or manual table, plenty of Thorens at that price point. Then you can upgrade the cartridge with the leftover cash.
