A slightly slimmer version to the VP I own in matte blue (F), this Decimo (EF) in champagne has a clip profile that is less obtrusive as well. The clip placement doesn't bother me in the least as it actually helps guide for proper nib alignment without having to look. The unique one-handed retractab...

Pen Review: Pilot Capless Decimo — The Gentleman Stationer
But for myself (and I’d venture for many people) the Vanishing Point and the Decimo aren't intended to be the pens you use to write a novel. As I mentioned, I tend to use them for work-related notetaking and annotation, where writing comes in short bursts and I can adjust my grip if necessary without it becoming annoying, especially on the Decimo. One note on Pilot VP/Decimo “extra fine” nib units: Pilot isn’t kidding around when they describe these as “extra fine,” and they’re definitely NOT for everyone
What are your unpopular fountain pens-related opinions?
1. The Pilot Decimo/Capless causes me no problems and is easy for me to hold.

Pen Review: Pilot Decimo Fine Fountain Pen
I tested the Decimo on Rhodia Uni blank pad paper using my standard 7mm guide sheet underneath and deAtramentis Pigeon Blue ink (It was the only bottled ink I had at work and I was impatient to fill this and try it right away). Pilot Capless Decimo Fountain Pen Review — The Pen Addict
Pilot continues to impress me with their out-of-the-box nib tuning and performance, and this Decimo is just another tick on the "winning" side for me. The nib glides over all types of paper like satin over glass. The medium nib is wet enough to show off ink properties and provide a good amount of line variation, but still small enough for everyday use

Beautiful writing instrument. I'm left handed with an overwriters grip and I've had no issue with the clip placement, skipping, or smudging ink as I write. The extra fine nib is delicate enought for my small handwriting and has the perfect amount of feedback. This is my first fountain pen and I'm re...

Thoughts on the Pilot Vanishing Point vs Pelikan M205? deciding between the two.
EDIT: I forgot to add that some people feel like the clip on the VP gets in the way. It doesn't bother me at all but I can see how some people would not like it. The Decimo might be a better pen to compare to the Pelikan.

exceeds expectations
I absolutely love this fountain pen! I could not be more satisfied. I have used this pen extensively, daily, for about 6 weeks now and enjoy it more every day. The converter holds a good amount of ink, it lasted me over 3 weeks and i write approximately 5 standard pages per day. I was very pleasantl...

For the students & teachers out there. What are you preferred pens for long form note taking & study writing sessions. Getting hand fatigue after writing a page with my current pens. Wish to avoid going back to gel pens.
Student here. I switch back and forth, but I prefer my Pilot VP Decimo and Platinum 3776 (when the ink actually flows out of it instead of clogging up)

Wonderful In Every Way
I adore this pen. It writes like a dream, it is very comfortable to hold and write with, and it is very attractive. I am a female with fairly small hands, and many fountain pens are too big and heavy for me to enjoy writing with for more than a few minutes. With this pen I can write for long periods...
