Pilot Capless

After 2 months of use, I still can't get used to the Steel version, I can't stand the weight to write page by page (uncapped 35gram), so that I want to sell it. I found that the ideal weight of pen for me is like safari or 2000 makrolon weight uncapped (below 20gram). I have searching for many FP forum, people often tell about the Pilot Vanishing Point (Pilot Capless) is the pen that should lamy 2000 makrolon owner have in pocket also. The weight of VP is 30gram, still a heavy pen for me.

Be warned. This Vanishing Point has a steel allow nib and not a gold nib like the more expensive version. It writes a bit drier and without the gold version's signature "bounce." Looking back, I would just buy the gold nib version next time.

the pilot capless... I would love to buy that pen, but damn if it's an ugly design for me, the only one that I like is the wooden version, but generally I don't think that I will ever buy one of them if I will not find them on sale!

Thought this was a great bargain and ordered before I knew it had a steel nib instead of the 18k gold. Steel medium nib is smooth and has excellent flow. Mine writes with a Japanese Fine line width. No complaints on the quality of the pen or nib. Pen is heavier than most pens as it has a metal body....

I would suggest a Pilot Capless (aka Vanishing Point). You say you prefer broader and smooth, and a Pilot Capless M nib is like writing on glass. Plus, the nib unit is interchangeable so you can buy a replaceable nib unit rather than a whole pen if you ever decide you need something different.

This pen has a nice weight to it and writes beautifully. My only problem is in replacing cartridges. Currently, I am having troubles getting the cartridge in so that the nib can be extended and click into place so it stays out. The instructions that came with it are minimal and of no help. An iconic fountain pen for a reason. Easy for people without experience using fountain pens to write with. Excellent flow and wetness. Seller was slow but did communicate, which is why I rated as 4 stars.

Grail is a strong word, but the pen I most want that I don't currently own is the Pilot Capless. I just recently got an E95S and I'm loving it, so I feel like the Capless is the next step.
