Philips Avent Soothie Pacifier

It saves so much time when your baby is screaming for their next meal. °Pacifiers. Oh, I wish my baby would take a pacifier. We tried out lots of different types, and every medical professional suggested the Philips Soothie pacifier.

* once it's time to stop, you can't take their hands and fingers away from them... (and I'm not comfortable with putting bitter junk on their fingers as a deterrent). We bought a few to try, but they kept falling out until we were at the hospital for a hip ultrasound and the nurse gave us a Philips Avent Soothie to try. She said this one works best with the most babies. I think the truth is pacifiers don't stay without a little help at that age.

Our lactation consultant recommended the Phillips Avent Soothie pacifier, and similarly shaped pacifiers, which require the newborn to actively suck the pacifier to keep it in their mouth. She says that this provides minimal risk of nipple confusion once breast feeding is established, and it’s very easy for our 3 week old to spit out when he’s done with it.
