Philips Sonicare

Early Failure

Water infiltration through top near brush. Corroded interior and it would turn off and on at any given time. Attempted repair led to discovery of more robust seal on eBay. Motor and electronics damaged from water over time. It would charge but work off and on in the middle of brushing or.just charging on stand.

Sonic brushing, multiple modes. Purchased new one but.rinse.in downward direction. Never sideways, or upside down with brush removed so.water doesn't work its way inside.

Philips Sonicare

Early Failure

Metal shaft holding brush might get unstable, causing failed vibration transmition . Remove brush, press metal shaft on concrete, piece of wood etc to separate handle and inside part. It does take strength. Below metal shaft and seal, there will be a screw. re-tighten and apply point of glue. Enjoy two more years, repeat

Philips X2HR Fidelio

Broken

Plastic "screw" pins that hold the ear cups to the headband on metal rings. Seemingly strong enough to handle normal use but a drop off desk height places all of the stress on these plastic pins. Without these pins, the earcups come loose from their metal rings and the headphones cannot be worn comfortably, or at all if they come loose.

Decent headphones and comfortable for the price. An in depth guide exists for those who may attempt to repair these pins: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/nr2zw2/philips_fidelio_x2hr_broken_frame_screw_pins/
