Pentel Graphgear 500

Favorite pencils for writing: Pentel GraphGear 500, Tombow Zoom 505, Pentel Sharp Kerry. Favorite beaters (no tears if they get lost or damaged): Staedtler Triplus Micro, Zebra M30, Pentel GraphGear 500. Favorite mechanical pencils across all categories: Pilot s10, Staedtler mars Technico 780, Tombow Zoom 505. ​.

loved these pencils and occasionally the tip would misalign and id need to replace it. which i didnt mind doing every other year or so since im a little clumsy and drop them. but this most recent one literally only lasted a month having been dropped once.

These are pretty nice mech pencils, but I'd get a rOtring 500 and/or GraphGear 500. I find them better for longer sessions because their gravity center is next to the lead instead to the back of the pencil. Also, if you're going to use them to make technical drawings, It could be a good idea to get one of those slim erasers like Pentel slim hi-polymer or Tombow Zero (pen eraser, or w/e that's called).

It was supposed to arrive preloaded with lead but there was none in the body of the pencil and none in the storage compartment for the two 0.3mm pencils I received. There was lead in the 0.5mm pencil I received. Otherwise it's a good quality pencil.

\_ Pentel GraphGear 500 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 - They're beautiful. For the price, you can't go better than that. A real bang for the buck.

The pencil tip was very bent so no lead was able to get through, although I've shaped it back into place the most I could! Other than that it's a good pencil!

It is definitely not a GraphGear 500. The clip is different and the grip looks like clear plastic. It looks more like some kind of ballpoint pen to me

I wanted a mechanical pencil with a 0.3mm lead and longer lead sleeve, but I didn’t want to pay too much in case it was too brittle for me. The $3.50 price swayed me. My first drafting pencil was a Pentel A120dx in 0.3mm. It's about 25 years old now and is still one of my favorite pencils. I'm also a huge fan of the Sharp Kerry and GraphGear 500.

After I slipped one of my empty ballpoint ink pen's foam sleeve onto this mechanical pencil it went from being a good pencil to a great pencil. Very easy to hold and use for writing notes or drawing forms. I am a wannabe woodworker so I draw many different shapes and forms for something I am trying ...
