Ok ink, feathers bad and not black enough for me. I now us noodlers bullet proof black. Bad black moccasin is even blacker still, however they do have a tendency to nib creep but its worth it to me.

Its... okay. It's too watery and looks grey when you're writing horizontally. Vertical lines look darker. It does what it's supposed to but it's not a true black and I'm disappointed.

Not sure why it smells like phenol! BTW phenol is a very harmful chemical! I purchased a smaller bottle and it doesn't have this smell!

a good, medium to dark black ink, but is water soluble and not steadfast. great old-school ink, and should work in any pen, even the picky ones. the one caveat is that if it goes on light it is almost grey, but heavier is much darker.

This ink. is water soluble. It does not work well in a journal with watercolor. Even after drying for three days, it’s still bleeds.
