I can easily close the hooks of this bra on my front and then twist around the band, which is a sign it's too big. It rides up a little when the straps are on. But, most noticeably, I have mega cup gaping!

I think part of the issue is that matrix size bras tend to be relatively low coverage, but many women with bigger cup sizes need more coverage just to get above the nipple.... and then somewhere along the way the brands with said extended sizes went HAM with the full coverage in an effort to cater to that market, and now that's the industry standard for "big cup" bra lines. Panache Ardour and Cleo Maddie/Lexi are the bras I've found to have a comfortable cup height for me (5' 3") so far, if you haven't tried any of those yet. Maybe one day the market will pay more attention to short ladies and short boobs lol.

When I wore your size I also struggled with painful gores and the Cleo Maddie was a good shape fit for me (tall/wide/shallow w/even fullness) I stayed FAR away from plunges. I would not size up to 30 bands, those should be much too large based on your measurements.

Sadly this is also very tight. I think the cups may be partly too shallow, but even tried on upside down and backwards, the band also feels pretty tight. This bra literally feels as tight to me as the Juna above.

I really wanted to like this bra. But ultimately I had to return it. First I ordered a 28E, but I was spilling out of the cups and the underwire wasn't right and the lift looked weird. I couldn't tell if the problems were due to the wrong size or a bad bra, so I decided to try again and exchanged it...

I also found it a little too narrow, and needed a bit more projection. I'm currently getting on well with a Panache Cleo Maddie, but it doesn't quite fit right on top (too "open", which I think it due to it being a bit too tall for me - it's a HC but the coverage is more like a balconette). Could be worth checking out though. My next stop is to try out some polish bras, Comexim and Ewa come highly recommended for projection and short roots.
