Outemu Brown

I am using Brown Outemu switches and they keep "failing", as in I will press the switch and it won't activate all the time, sometimes I have to jam the switch all the way down to get it to register, or If I hold down the switch it will eventually register like 2-3 seconds later. This has happened at least 5+times to my switches, it seems to be more of an issue with my most active keys like "WASDQR" and now occasionally the alt switch won't activate unless I completely bottom it out. Thankfully, my keyboard is hot-swappable (only with Outemu), should I just buy new switches?

If you don't like the weight of the switches, you can swap out the springs. I've done both to my Outemu Brown's and it helped a great deal. Good Luck.

The reason why I'm giving these switches 3 stars is because they arrived defected, when a simple piece of bubble wrap could have solved the issue. 5 switches had their pins bent, all I had to do was bend them back into position and they worked. The link says it comes with Outemu brown switches which afaik are 3-pin, so you can use any 3-pin mechanical switch, or you can get 5-pin and trim the plastic legs if needed to convert it to a 3-pin.

I bought these switches on Dec. 8, 2020 (brown ones). They started to be unresponsive (one by one) around September 2021. That's a totally understandable durability for this price. I guess I got what I payed for.
