 The Fire Disc is perfect for entertaining and making large batches of things such as this. Again, the temperature stability and consistency of the cooking disc take a lot of the hassle out of this type of cooking. I lined the edge with pound cake slices so they could get warm while the sauce reduced. Tossed in some sliced bananas and finally some banana rum, dark rum and vanilla extract

 I'd say that's pretty good performance. Frying and searing are not a problem. Next we tested the burner on medium by cooking a breakfast hash. Now the Fire Disc is pitched towards the center to collect any rendered fat

 Of course this can be flambéed right in the disc and with that we are ready to go make friends. The well in the center definitely came in handy when spooning generous helpings of caramel sauce over the cake. Nobody that we passed it out to was disappointed. I can say that for sure

 For that, we made a party sized helping of Bananas Foster Pound Cake. We melted a smallish amount of butter, added to that some brown sugar, ground cinnamon and a large pinch of salt. But today we'll start with fire disc cooker. We do all of our cooking with the fire disc, and to be honest with you, I wouldn't do it any other way. As you see here, it kind of folds down flat, so it travels really well with us up on our rack

 One thing that's an accessory that I would absolutely buy is the wind guard. And this guy, if you'll notice over here, just kind of folds down on top of your flame. It just keeps the wind knocked down from blowing it sideways. Because a lot of times when we're out camping, we get a lot of crazy winds

 You pull it out to the cool zone, and that works really well. I tend to use a bigger propane because we do a lot of cooking. And fire disc, you can also just pick these up at Home Depot or wherever and just get an accessory hose. But also, if I'm just going really quick, we can use just little camp bottles

 And there are also shorter versions and this is the three foot tall and that's sort of like a table height type of deal. Right so like stovetop height and then there's a two foot that's more like a fire pit height if you're used to cooking over a fire pit and you like the lower height. So there's the burner. And look at those good rubber tips on the tops and the bottoms

 So we got some accessories too in addition to the lid. Look at the size of this cooking weapon. I mean holy moly that thing is big and strong. And that's what they call it a cooking weapon

 There's a little insert to where it fits in to stabilize it and it's very stable, it is very heavy and the disc fits right on top there. Now, this shield is gonna help you save energy, basically, it's gonna help focus the heat, get the wind off of it and you're gonna cook a little bit faster that way. All in all though, great product.
