Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming OC review
Gigabyte applies their latest iteration of the Windferce cooler for the GeForce GTX 1660 which makes use of three fans which combine the advantages of both traditional and dispersion fan blades to generate huge amounts of airflow. The Gaming OC edition has been designed with budget in mind and is merely a few tenners more expensive over reference. It's a proper looking product with good cooling and reasonable acoustic performance

Nvidia GTX 1660 ~£250 (miles over my budget but willing to wait an extra 10 weeks if it is absolutely worth it). I'm leaning towards the GTX 970 as it is cheapest and my dad (was self employed in the pc industry with both software and hardware for 15 years) says it's still a very good card. Obviously cards like the RTX 3090 are out of the question but I'm looking for something at most under £200.
I've gotten some suggestions and looked at a lot of youtube reviews and it seems like the ROG Zephyrus is a good way to go. There are two trims, the first has an Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti - 512GB SSD which is on sale for 1,099.00.

It's got Intel Core i5-11400 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super. I'm hoping to stay under $300 as its a first gaming PC and I bought 2...one for each kid. They mostly play roblox, fortnite and some steam games like G-mod...but mostly because they have been limited to stuff they can play on kindles and laptops. So I'm sure they will be exploring newer titles once given the ability to run more intense games.
