Any real world heavy (230lb+) skiers?

6'0 270lbs here. Volkl M6 Mantra 184 is what I ski, and before that I was on an older pair of Matra's. This is what you want, or something similarly stiff like a Nordica Enforcer etc...

Looking for advice on first set of skis

Those Bent Chetlers are not going to be great in the Midwest. Buy skis for the conditions you actually ski, not what you dream about skiing. Something narrower like the Nordica Enforcer 88, Salomon Stance 90, Volkl Kendo, Elan Ripstick 96 Black, Atomic Maverick 88 Ti, Armada Declivity 92 Ti.

Enforcer 88 or Kendo 88 or K2 Mindbender 89Ti and at what length

Enforcer 88 in the 186cm length. This one is not even close for me. Kendo second in the 184cm length. Then, maybe the Mindbender 89 but there are better skis out there than those, IMHO.

Looking for Ice Coast recommendations - second ski addition

This ski is stiff but the rocker profile make is pretty manageable in tight places. Or find the old black 180cm Brahma, IMO the new Red brahma rocker profile is too biased on trail for good all around including eastern trees. The Enforcer 88 would be better on trail as well but IMO the Kendo was better all around. If you want a ski just for on trail or packed woods something more like the Fischer Gt86 would probably better and still ok in the woods.

Agreed with other comments, 80s or low 90s underfoot will be more fun. I would recommend

the Nordica Enforcer Unlimited in 88 or 94. Light fast ski, and a new version of a great product that's priced well right now.
