While the Nnewvante has excellent build quality in an attractive overall design, it doesn't quite match some performance features of models utilizing higher-tech materials. We love the drawer feature; however, it was rather sticky upon arrival. We took a moment to treat it with dry lube, and now it glides open easily. Adjusting the legs can be more tedious on this model than on more modern designs, as you will need to loosen and tighten four different adjustment dials rather than hitting a simple button. Also, this larger desk with a full bamboo build weighs more than several of the models we tested. However, those who appreciate the natural aesthetic and durability of bamboo construction will find this versatile desk worth a closer look.

Functional and decent quality, -2 stars for defect and customer service

  I’m going to have to try something with quick adjusting legs that can lock into place when closed as well as open.

 This proved to be another problem as they would pop out and a leg would move to fold up on occasion with my laptop on the table. Than the leg split by the pivote point due to the legs latch falling loose and causing stress on the legs as they sometimes twisted when moving the desk to get up.  The other issue I had with this desk is the height adjustments. I would adjust the table legs to max height I’m 6’2 and bought this so I could stop straining my neck

When I would loosen the orange screws as the legs reached full height they would separate from one another’s Chanel having to pop them back in a lot. Than as I had to put the legs back down to there lowest position to store the desk every time this was frustrating and time consuming

Parts of this did not hold up.

Beautiful but consistently defective

 The fan slots help to keep my computer cool, and definitely lighten the weight of the desk a bit. I really like that the book rest is optional and it fits nicely in the drawer (although it can be a pain to access at times). The angles of the adjustable side of the surface are perfect for reading, and those who prefer using the Nintendo 3DS with a stand will find this desk works perfectly for that as well.

 It's turned out to be a sturdy and stable working space with great depth and width for working on. I've been able to complete coloring assignments, computer work, and even play some games on my computer with it. Decent Build, but Needs Light Sanding

 That helped tremendously!  On the plus side, I love the adjustable legs and the locking mechanism to keep the legs from collapsing! My old table, the legs liked to fold under if you tried to move it aside. With this tray, the legs lock in place! Or if you fold it up to set aside, the legs don't flop out if you don't have a hold of them. They are locked under when stowed. You can also adjust the length of the legs, raising it up or lowering it down

 This is a plus because I want it up high for one project and down lower for another. Having the option to set it my way is NICE! Being able to lock the legs is even BETTER! Over all, a very nice table for the money!

Love The Leg Lock Mechanism!

  I paid too much, in my mind, for this to just throw it out now and buy something else. So I'll stick it out for a while longer. Pun intended.

I work from home a few days a week and prefer the comfort of my couch or bed on some days and needed something sturdy for my laptop. I like that this has the tilt feature while the other half stays down. This makes using a mouse or having a writing surface while using the laptop very convenient. I liked the little drawer but I ended up not using it at all in the year I've had this desk

Wish I bought something else...

This is a very nice product and I'm happy that I chose this over the metal options out on the market. But I did have to adapt it to make it work better for me, when I'm sitting on the couch. I'm using it with a huge 17" Alienware laptop, which weighs over 10 pounds. But I'm short (only 5'4") so when I had this sitting on my lap, my arms were up at an unusually high angle to use the laptop's keyboard

Very well built - but a tad too tall.

 I can't have my laptop centered on my lap with both my legs under this table so I have to sit weird with this one. I would have returned it except my son tagged it with crayola. I liked the design so I also bought the BWZ-ZS71L table with the tilting part in the center. I find the center tilt to be more comfortable and worth the extra money

 If you are buying just one, then get the center tilt. I now use this little table to hold my portable 2nd monitor and side table whenever I set up my office on the floor. My son likes this little table to color on or eat snacks while watching tv. I got rid of my big home office desk, Herman Miller chair, dual monitor PC and big heavy overstuffed bookcases
