* eventually it just gave up, a few days before my unfortunate departure, it started just blinking permanently, without charging my phone nor being able to charge itself. basically bricked. * related to that last issue,** Nitecore warranty support sucks ass**. I emailed them, and they basically told me I had to deal with the Amazon seller who sold it instead of them, even though I registered the (brand new) NB20000 with them on their website when I purchased it.

You still get the best power to weight ratio of any power bank in a sturdy package with IPX5 waterproofing that provides some peace of mind. Sure it would have been great if the power bank charged faster, like the 30W of the NB20000, but that would have undoubtedly gone at the cost of extra weight, and I’m happy Nitecore chose to not do that and keep it the lightest.

I was hoping for so much more. This item is almost dangerous and sure to fall on your foot! Ouch!…it’s sharp and heavy…looks cool but ergonomics are awful. I was also surprised that the fully charged battery can only charge one iPad Out of the box one of the USB outlets is non functional

The NB20000 gained a reputation for being buggy not long after it's release. Nitecore even already revised the electronics. If you go to their own store it's even called "version 2". I will say I'm very disappointed they won't help you out though but its also not the first report of poor after purchase support with them.

This power brick is awesome. I have both this and the 10,000mah version. I have tested it against Anker power banks with a Klein Tools ET920 multimeter. Exped came out with a super thick CCF everyone seemed to end up disliking. Nitecore released the NB20000 which folks were disappointed it weighs more than two NB10000 but it charges at 30 watts and you don't need to swap/carry two chargers.

The [NiteCore (≈$99) is (basically) as small, light, and fast as the current tech allows. The (≈$60) is the 10,000mAh version. Other favorites are the [Anker Powercore 10,000 Slim (≈$40), or the [Anker Powercore Essential 20000 (≈$65). They are both great chargers, but only outputs at 18W.
