Bought the Glow in the Dark one for my wife about a year ago, and it still has a weird plastic odor. It is made of a thicker plastic. She hasn't used it since. Steer clear of the glowin the dark, and just go with the clear versions if you don't like plastic like odors while you're sipping water.

Nalgene makes terrific products. I bought this one because the idea of a wide mouth sounded good, enabling me to drink faster. Unfortunately, I want this for my car and the bottle is too wide to fit in my cupholder but that's not Nalgene's fault...I should have paid closer attention to the specs.
