Microtech Socom Alpha Mini

 Cutting edge and blade length are going to be about the same. Functional grip area is going to be about the same as well. Where you really see a difference here is in the blade stock thickness and in the thickness at the tip, thanks to that saber grind on the Socom Alpha Mini. So you can see while this is designed as more of a kitchen knife and slicing knife with a much thinner blade, the Socom Alpha has plenty of thickness in the blade for tactical and utility use

 This one is a standard edge of CTS204P, the 2019 Microtech Blade Steel of the Year. It's an analog to Buller's N390 with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. You get a mid-height saber grind and a clip point, delivering good strength with a balance of cutting and piercing performance. Contour G10 handle scales with proprietary stainless steel hardware, full jimping around the entire handle for enhanced traction, and an exposed pommel with lanyard hole for lanyard attachment

Microtech Socom Alpha Mini Knife Review – Worth Buying?

 It'S just. I don't know. I'Ve heard that they run it between 57 and 59 HRC. I would believe that just off my personal use - and I have plenty of use with their M through 90 yeah - I mean it's

 If that's what you want to do, it does retain pretty well, so you can see it's it's a pretty nice sheath, I'm not gon na lie, and I think that this little thing right here, this little function by wedging. Your finger in between these two folds it actually loosens and reduces the tension that the pixelate is under, so it makes it much easier to you know, deploy from the sheet. I really like that. It'S not necessary, but it's kind of a nice feature

This, I don't know I have some safety glasses on, and here we go all right. So there was no issue in that. You guys can see the core in there hated to do

 So when opening up the box and with a huge fan of fixed plates, love fixed blades and the fixed blade fanatic, but in the box you're going to have your owner's manual and then you have the knife itself, I'm going to go ahead and let you take A look at this up close it has the carbon fiber Kotik sheath, with the proprietary micro tech screws there on the backside. Here it's going to have a lock and on this lock you basically just press it in, and that opens up and then to lock it. You would slide this over to the side as far as the knife itself and to go ahead and pull that out. Let you guys take a look at it there
