I needed a warm watch cap, so I bought this one. I do not have a large head: My hat size is 7 1/4 and my hair is very short. This Meriwool cap was extremely tight, compressing my head like a tight rubber band would do. Very uncomfortable! Whatever its other virtues a product may have, they are of no consequence if the product has a tragic flaw and is unusable

 (Prior to trying it on, I gently washed it in cool water and Woolite and let it dry naturally in the air). However, I retrieved it from my discards and exerted substantial force to stretch it a little bit (It was strong and did not tear). I then put it on my head and found that, apparently due to body heat, the cap "relaxed" its tightness somewhat and soon felt comfortably snug. I do however think that the manufacturer should make these watch caps bigger

Nice, soft wool hat. The brand label is ugly and sewn on poorly, but after I removed it with a seam ripper I had a stylish beanie. It is a very fine, tight knit, quite smooth. It packs small for pocket carry

This had can be cuffed and it will stay, or it can be uncuffed and worn low for purposes of being slouch-style or ear warming (which I prefer). I also have a big head, I'm 6'6" and all my hats are considered "Oversized (23" - 27") (Size: 7 3/8 - 8 5/8)" this beanie fit comfortably

Good quality and feel, FITS BIG HEADS.... but not as described color/weight-wise.

The Meriwool company is a little gem! I have wool long johns, sweaters, shirts and coats from around the world (I’m an old man). Meriwool is a very good value at a great price! This hat will serve me nicely in the deer woods. Not quite Blaze orange, but a bright orange nonetheless! Warm and wicked soft!
