 Today I want to review Maison Frances Kirkshaun Oud Satin Mood. This is the eau de parfum version. This is a fragrance that I used to absolutely love. It was a fragrance that was one of my first oud experiences

 It was early on in my journey when I was getting into the ouds and getting into that wormhole of discovering lots of ouds. The Oud Mood collection is one of the first ouds that I have tried and I was pretty much floored by the collection. It was very new and unique to me. I loved it you guys and this Oud Satin Mood for a long time was my favourite, for sure out of the collection and probably one of my most favourite ouds

 As I said earlier I used to absolutely love this fragrance but fast forward how many years later and I don't enjoy this as much as I used to. I'll tell you guys why later on in the video. First of all, what does it smell like? Well the opening to me on my skin I get a very bold and strong and intense rose and violet. It's a creamy rose and violet scent almost as if you were to take the rose petals and the violet petals and make them into a cream and then add to that a big bag of white sugar

 It adds to that sweet creamy floral of the violet and the rose and yeah it's a great smelling perfume also in the mid. The dry down of this fragrance is where I kind of struggle. So in the dry down is where I get a lot of powdery notes and powdery fragrances I do like but it's not like my favorite type but in oud satin mood the powder in here gets more intense. Actually with this perfume here you know when you first spray it on your skin you'll probably be you might get even knocked out by how strong it is but as this fragrance dries down it seems that the fragrance at least on my skin it gets even stronger and stronger and bigger and bolder

 Maison Frances Kirkshaun Oud Satin Mood. This is the eau de parfum version. This is a fragrance

 that I used to absolutely love. It was a fragrance that was one of my first oud experiences.

 this perfume I was very interested and wowed basically because it wasn't something that

 in here isn't animalic or skanky or harsh or you know stinky. It's not that kind of

 stinky oud in here. For me it's like a very creamy and syrupy vanilla and oud. Very dark

 and sensual and it does give off this mysterious kind of vibe where it just has a little bit

 of smokiness in there. It's very sweet. It adds to that sweet creamy floral of the violet

 and the rose and yeah it's a great smelling perfume also in the mid. The dry down of this

 fragrance is where I kind of struggle. So in the dry down is where I get a lot of powdery

 notes and powdery fragrances I do like but it's not like my favorite type but in oud

 satin mood the powder in here gets more intense. Actually with this perfume here you know when

 feel uncomfortable because of how sweet it is and how syrupy and cloying it can sometimes

 be and that's not always a bad thing but you know I normally love sweet fragrances and

 syrupy fragrances and floral gourmands but for me this one isn't working for me anymore

 because it kind of it kind of like I feel like I'm suffocating a little bit when I wear

 this and I have tried it also you know just like one spray even in the back of my neck

 or something so that it wouldn't be you know wafting up in my nose constantly but even

 then I found that way too strong so I guess my preference for performance and fragrances

 is changing like I don't need a fragrance to be always like pumping out and you know

 constantly like having this big scent cloud around me which is what you would get with

 this at least on me that's what I get it's very very very loud and big and bold so you

 do have to be in the mood to wear this I think that if you do wear this probably people will

 notice you and smell you you might get some attention if you're in the mood for that this

 is a great one you might even turn some heads but for me it's getting more and more difficult

 to wear because especially in the dry down when it gets more powdery and more sweet it

 just feels like I'm choking I'll probably try it again when it gets cold out again but

 yeah I've been trying to make this work for like a year same with this one the X Street

 version I just I showed you my decant earlier but it's just not happening anymore I would

 love to hear what you think about this perfume how does it perform on you yeah I would love

 to hear that so thank you guys so much for watching and I'll see you guys in the next

I tried it on at a boutique and loved it on me, and this weekend I took it out for a spin outside for the first time. My in-laws happened to be staying with us here in London, and we decided to get a car and visit some small countryside villages. In one of them we had to park the car a bit far from the town centre and walk for about 15 min in a wooden area.

The trees were so pretty, the earth was wet and the ground was covered in autumn leaves. It was a cold, crisp day. Getting whiffs of Coromandel during this walk almost brought me to tears, it was so beautiful. Everything matched so perfectly I truly couldn't be wearing anything else. It made this moment very special.

This Fragrance Will Definitely get you Compliments & the Ladies Will Notice you for Sure it’s Not a Everyday Scent for the Size & Price this would be more of a Black Tie or Grey Suit Business Event Or a Theater or Romantic Evening with that Special Someone or a 1st Date at a Upscale Restaurant type of Fragrance! Small for the Price but it’s Big on Compliments & Conversations for Sure! It’s a Very Nice Fragrance!
