I can't recommend enough to start with your camera as someone who's building YouTube channels from scratch myself... I got myself this for my cell phone: And it lets me have fancy over the top cooking footage. I film all my YT on a cell phone and a Logitech Brio 4k webcam.

Recently buying and installing ALL the necessary updates and software, I do want to admit that it's a REALLY good 4K camera. The other suggestions of the Brio are really good, though I’d consider a 1080p webcam unless you have a specific reason for 4K, and you’ll have just as much control with it in the software as you will with the Hero. You can adjust exposures, white levels, etc. To get the tone you want out of it.

Once the update is complete, go to Windows Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and select BRIO 4K Stream Edition for Windows Hello.
