Good Quality - Not Most Versitile

 As long as the pan doesn't get so ridiculously hot that it turns the seasoning into ash, it will become better seasoned the more you use it.

As for the pan itself, I prefer the square 10.5 inch model over the round pans. While the round pans can claim a bit more even heating, as the iron distributes the heat, this is not much of an issue - not like an aluminum pan. The square shape lets you fit more food into the pan and it works better for things like kabob

 Note that because of the ridges, with the oil collecting in the valleys, it took a while to get the seasoning even.

This pan performed as admirably as a cast iron pan should. It got hot quickly and the items that it was used for (steaks and hamburgers) got great grill marks and seared beautifully. It went into the oven and did a great job at continuing to cook the meat. The only thing that is a negative is its weight

Excellent Pan

 It heats quickly on a glass cook top and has a constant heat and cooking even though the stove cycles its burner, even on lower heat. Great investment for the money. And it is going to last for ever and never warp like the aluminum pan did.

Have been using aluminum grill pan

I am a senior citizen woman, the pan is just perfect for me since it is small but just right for one or two people; it is heavy so the front support handle makes it easier to carry. I needed this for the summer so I haven't tried it out yet but it seems to be durable. I will buy another for this price so I can grill the meat on one and the veggies on the other. The only drawback is the heavy weight, if I get another I will order the same size

I like this grill pan because it's cast iron; grills just enough for 2 people (without having to fire up the outdoor grill); gives great taste to grilled veggies and comes pre-seasoned! Easy clean-up: w/ warm water (carefully)while still hot (no soap); scrub residuals off; dry & evaporate water on burner; then rub on a little oil to reseal and prevent rust! Sounds like a lot to do but just takes a few minutes!

I evidently didn't prime the grill properly. Turkey burgers stuck to the pan, and it may take a while to get all of the food off of the pan.. Even so, the burgers were delicious
