 They are thick and heavy. Have not had hardly any pilling. There is nothing to pill. The thread twist must be real good and the cotton length long

 But if you sleep in the nude and have sensitive skin then maybe these sheets aren't for you. I have had cotton flannel sheets on and off for years. The newer stuff wears out really quick. But then I can't afford the expensive stuff

not that soft

This is an interesting type of fabric. Works like flannel but is more of a lite canvas. The sheets are not cold to get into. No over heating
