  Day 4: I'll eventually integrate some of this feedback. But first, by day 4, one of my biggest observations is that there's a pretty fair smell emanating from the Litter Robot. Doesn’t work a lot of the times

 Tracking litter out of the machine is also an issue, even with all of the extras you can buy from them (a barrier to limit it being kicked out) and the floor mat. I have the stair steps and they're always covered in litter and some of it makes it past the stairs and litter mat onto the floor.  DESIGN FLAWS: When you go to empty the litter, some of the litter gets trapped in crevices in the machine, so you won't be able to ever empty it completely with that feature. Their bags for the waste drawer aren't the best designed

  CONs: Outside of the incredibly high initial cost, the biggest con I've found is that litter clumps from urine will adhere to the bottom of the unit, remaining stuck there when the unit turns and not emptying into the waste container. I put on a disposable glove and pry it loose ever 2-3 days and get the chamber to fully empty the waste. I've tried a few different litters and all of them have this issue so far. I haven't tried their proprietary litter, but that's quite expensive

A Good Product with Some Issues

 I’m a victim of my own unrealistic expectations. For $500, I expected a miracle litter box that would stay clean, and the robot would make the waste disappear, and keep the litter inside the box and not tracked all over. Well, it doesn’t do anything of those things, and in hindsight it was unrealistic to think it would. It also uses a lot more litter than I anticipated — we went through 40 pounds in just 3 weeks

 We’re using kitchen bags and they’re less than 10% full when Litter Robot Overlord orders me to clean it out. It does get dirty inside the Robot, obviously; stuff sticks and gets caught in awkward corners, and it requires a weekly scrubbing or it smells. I’m a victim of my own unrealistic expectations. For $500, I expected a miracle litter box that would stay clean, and the robot would make the waste disappear, and keep the litter inside the box and not tracked all over

Three months in?  Not what I expected...

 I removed one old litter box and they are getting used to the noise the LR3 makes while rotating. I am waiting on another LR and then I'm getting rid of the old litter boxes.  Cons: Expensive. But if you hate or can't scoop regularly it's worth it

As a multi-cat household with elderly cats that have decided to make my bedroom their personal retirement home and therefore requiring a bedroom litter box (totally stoked on that,) this thing has been a complete game changer.  Pros: • super easy setup • super easy to use • cats adapted to it super fast which I was not expecting • saving so much money on litter that this will nearly pay for itself within the year  cons: • cycling has been a little glitchy lately - nothing a reset hasn’t been able to handle though • difficult to actually deep clean
