Furthermore, the larger display on the Line 6 Pog Go makes editing your presets much easier if you don't want to connect it via the Usb cable to your computer

I live in an apartment with my parent (im 14) Im thinking of getting into playing the electric guitar. My budget is obviously small since I only have $200 to spend on this hobby. I have a pair of good headphone (DT 770 250 ohms) Im wondering if I can get a cheap end amp and still get good results. I can’t play out loud because of where I live. I won’t be moving out for another 4 years.

[Newbie] Do I need a good amp if I can only play through Headphones?

The POD GO Wireless aspires to be the ultimate all-in-one box for live guitar signal processing, and to a large degree it is -- there are dozens and dozens of effects, amp and speaker models available, you can chain a whole bunch of them in any order you want, and there are lots of parameters for each. Once you get a couple of the basics down it's really easy to use. It sounds great, particularly the amp models which are about as good as it gets, and there are tons of presets from subtle to extreme as sources of inspiration. The unit is solidly made and rugged

 I'm just a bedroom player, and I'm happy with the Pod Go.  Lots of amp and effects.  Great with headphones or some powered speakers (I use KRK rokit 5).

I've had a friend tell me that a preamp plugged into a computer with headphone works and I've had another recommend I just play quietly on a tube amp. I don't currently have a roommate Nd I live in a condo. I typically play alone. A lot of my friends play instruments but they never invite me to jam and I am hoping to practice Moree. Sorry for the stupid question.

[QUESTION] what is best for indoor electric guitar playing?

Good for what it is. Not for me. I’m more of an old school guitar, pedals, amp kind of guy.

 We have an output volume control in the treadle can be used either for volume or waz I mentioned earlier On the back panel, we have an input for your guitar and the next switch can be used to connect an expression pedal or to external foot switches. Next up, we have our effects loop and again that can be mono or stereo. Our main outputs can operate in stereo or mono and they're either balanced or unbalanced so you could use them with a wide variety of different gear. The amp out is set up to work well with a regular guitar amplifier and that allows you to use the Pod Go basically as an effects processor without the amp and speaker models

 Next up, we have a headphone jack and finally our USB jack. Now, the USB jack serves multiple functions for us. First of all, it's used for updating the software inside the Pot Go, but you can also use it as a recording interface with your DAW on your computer so you could record straight from the Pod Go using the USB output straight into your DAW. You can also use it for reamping where you send a dry guitar signal out of your DAW into the pod Go, use the modeling effects inside the amp, the speaker, and so on and then send back into a new track in your DAW

 Very high quality sounds, but they're brought together into a compact package that's very easy to operate. Let's take a tour. As with all of Line 6 modelers, the Pod Go features tons and tons of different amplifiers, speakers, effects, all kinds of processing built in here. Basically, it's an all-in-one solution

 In this case, we have two effects processors in front of the amplifier, a compressor and also a distortion. We have our amplifier and of course we have more parameters here. We can hit the page control to step to the next set of parameters after the amplifier, but in front of the speaker we have a reverb. Now we're using a 1 by 12 cabinet

Sofar I have been using the free version guitar rig 6 with my scarlett, but I would like to have a bit more functionality and ability to record. 

What are good options that are inexpencive or free? I would like to have some effects too like overdrive, delay, reverb etc. Also is there a simple program for looping that would for an example automaticly record for a few bars and then loop it, as i cant really hit a key on my keyboard while playing.

[QUESTION] What amp sim should i get?

in my case, into a brand new Mackie PA with a brand new mixer with Onyx preamps...EQ's set at 12 o'clock

And when I'm playing live, the buttons are in a box format, so you're stepping on the 2 in front accidently

Inconvenient and Not User Friendly

* Helix POD 6 Go or Helix Stomp (I swear the latter has jumped up in price significantly). Price of a reasonable mid-range amp. * Headrush MX5 or Gigboard are the main competition that I know of. * Beyond that price point is bigger ones for people who gig frequently and want some more options, or you jump right up into the high-end modellers like NeuralDSP stuff

I was first looking for any amps with Bluetooth built in so I can just plug my phone in and play music through it to jam along with while it all goes through a pair of headphones. But the salesperson at guitar center told me that isn’t common in amps and the sound quality wouldn’t be very good for the music. 

Are there any universal home practice setups you all recommend for me? Like an amp plus some other piece of equipment? 

I was researching all these different things and it was making my head hurt so I figured I’d stop in here.
