It's incredibly versatile and I think it sounds good enough to work in almost every situation you would find yourself in.

But when doing serious gigging with fast turnarounds and loads of different genres, nothing beats the Line 6 Helix, straight to PA. No need for a sound check, and I’m up and running before the drummer even has his drum carpet rolled out. I can switch from a straight marshall sound to jangly stereo-delay Vox to fender twin funk in a split second.

There is also the Yamaha THR10 II or THR30 II, either of which are a good choice in my book and super portable. You could also fully dive into modeling and buy something like the Line 6 HX Stomp, Line 6 Helix LT, or Fractal FM3. You can use headphones with those but if you want to listen to them through speakers you'd need studio monitors (Adam Audio T Series or JBL 3 Series MkII are good recommendations). You could also get a powered FRFR cabinet like the Line 6 Powercab, HeadRush FRFR, or Mission Engineering Gemini 2.

It's a multi stomp, single effect box (no chaining reverb with delay etc) that's stereo, around the same price but also has MIDI. I've had 2 MS70s but I'm sticking with the Line 6. The MS70 ends up being a session in menu diving where the M5 is one page for all controls. Both have their good/bad points but for me the MIDI on the H5 and simplicity of use make it a winner for me.

You might consider a line 6 or a spark. They have pretty decent sound that you. An dial in. It is the cheapest way to do it. Plus you can turn it down a bit until you get better.
