If you are ok with 14", Thinkvision M14 is excellent. Also allows pass thru power (USB-C ports on both sides so you can arrange however you want and power your laptop from the display). Very sturdy, mine has taken a lot of abuse.

Get a portable monitor (I like my Lenovo ThinkVision M14 because it's small and light, but if you have more space you can get larger 17" and 19" monitors), a laptop stand (people love the Roost, but it was too tall for me so [I've got this one a keyboard and a good pair of headphones.
