What I got was the Lenovo Tab M8 HD. A cheap (around 120$) 8" Tablet running on a crappy MediaTek SoC and 2GB of RAM. But damn, some things are nice to do on a tablet and I got appetite for a "real" tablet. As I said, I absolutely love high-end phones but I wanted a cheaper tablet.

Budget tablet solely for movies/streams & remote play?

My Lenovo Tab M8 handles PS4 remote play really well but the screen is 720p and Netflix is SD. Try searching for the Tab M10 there are different configurations but I'm sure it comes with micro SD slot and can play Netflix in HD. Lenovo tablets are more budget friendly with a good screen and battery life isn't bad either.

The Lenovo Smart Tab M8 or M10 are pretty slick. They have a power setting that stops charging at 60% for devices that are always plugged in .
