It has a big problem that I should have anticipated: the handle can become extremely hot. The handles in my elderly Le Creuset skillets are wooden, and therefore far easier (and safer) to use. I don't recommend it.

The problem was thin glazing that let metal show through the blue! At the same time I ordered this pot, I also ordered other Le Creuset items, all of which were perfect. They are terrific because (1) they are cast iron, which will hold and distribute heat perfectly, (2) the porcelain coating is incredibly durable and easy to clean, (2) they look great, (3) they move from stove, oven, to table without trouble, and (4) the lids always fit (and if you buy different colors like I do, its easy and quick to match the lid to the pot. Can't say enough how great these are

 Too many reviews on more affordable steel saucepans on Amazon reported warping or staining. This pan has been great so far and really is easy to clean and not so heavy that I can still use just one hand to pour liquid from it. Plus makes me happy to see the color on my stove. I’m sure steel heats up quicker but doesn’t take too long to bring this to a boil

I really tried to find a cheap steel saucepan I’d be happy with. After a series of “I don’t know about this” on Amazon trying to buy a Le Creuset 9” skillet, I was convinced that Le Creuset items on Amazon were ones that failed a quality control check - BUT, I’m happy to say that the saucepan i received here is as perfect as I would expect at a retail store and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’ll mostly be for breakfast grains like oatmeal, grits, or heating left over stews but for 30 dollars more than a 1.5 stainless steel All-Clad saucepan and about the same price for a 2qt d3 all clad, i felt like I might as well keep my Le Creuset flame set going

Was skeptical but i love it.

 It cleaned up as easily as a "non-stick" pan. It is a cute little pot and the Caribbean color makes me happy.

 Success! The brittle was perfect and I did not burn anything onto the bottom of the pot. I am behind the curve in acquiring Le Creuset cookware. I got the 5 1/2 quart French Oven last year. This year we replaced the 19 year old cooktop with induction and needed to get appropriate cookware, since most of ours is aluminum. This 1 3/4 quart saucepan has worked beautifully

 the best way to heat it up is to start on med/low and let the pan heat up gradually. I am vegan so I cook vegetables and soups and make beans. There is no better pan for this. You can turn the pan off and whatever you are making will continue to cook

Bought this to cook rice, oatmeal, and quinoa. It is perfect for that. Can also be used to cook small batch sauces. I have Le Creuset from the 70’s that I still use and love

Good for cooking grains and sauces

Looks great, works great. It's a very versatile little saucepan that I use to cook everything that fit. Just a little heavy for the volume it holds, but that is expected for a sturdy cast iron pot. Be careful that metal utensils can leave ugly marks inside (I learned it from a hard way, so I'd like to share here)

They looked more like metallic stains, so only cosmetic problem
