Nice! Properly fitting boots are the most important piece of gear. I also have the Lange XT3….140 version.

I love them but personally I would not use them as an inbounds boot, they give up a little too much performance wise. The 120s apparently have a burlier liner than would be more suited to inbounds use, but I still would rather ski a heavier boot inbounds such as the Lange XT3, Technica Cochise or Dalbello Lupo Pro HD. I think it depends on how often you’ll be in the sidecountry and how big those days typically are in terms of skinning.

** Definitely the stiffest boot I've been in (which isn't saying much, went from 15 years of rentals > Hawx Prime 100 26.5 > Lange XT3 120 25.5). I'm not really sure how much a ski boot is actually meant to flex, quantitatively. But as an intermediate lightweight, it seems difficult for me to flex it unless I'm in forgiving conditions/terrain. Especially when the buckles are done up super tight to try reduce my leg swimming around.

If you don't mind the extra weight in the backcountry, these boots are exceptional. Been about a month and a half dozen ski days so far, two of those at Silverton. I found the walk mode switch to be more low profile than other comparable boots, but found it more tricky to confirm they're locked into...

I feel like I should write something smart and technical sounding but you can read that anywhere. I have been skiing for 40 years…. Best boots ever. A little tight out of the box, but fit like a glove after three runs.

These are absolutely fantastic boots. Remember always pick a boot that is your last (width) if you are lucky enough that these fit you, you will not be disappointed. I ride these 90% on piste 10% touring.

This boot is not a super light climber or racer, but is unapologetic in its intentions: A little more work on climbs in exchange for fully controlled shredding on descents
