Lamy AL-star

\-Lamy Safari Demonstrator inked with Kala Inks Dig It. My mourning is so great that I can't bring myself to purchase these pens again or use any of the inks that were in those pens. The healing journaling and creative rituals that I created daily around these pens and inks during this difficult season of life provided a sense of grounded-ness that can never be replaced. I have lost something dear to me.

First Lamy fountain pen I own. Nib is boarder than I imagine, but a thick wet line is just perfect for English cursive writing. Lamy al-star. When I purchased it on vacation in Vancouver (shout out to Vancouver pen shop) I was excited to try out the pen. Turns out it had a terrible nib. Scratchy to high heaven.

Pen was clearly used but sold as new. It came with ink on the barrel , and it wrote in blue ink until the red ink I'd loaded flowed through.

I would rather it be wide open and I know I can ink up any pen, or even dip an offset holder no problem than the ink bottles with an opening so narrow that I can't ink anything wider than a TWSBI or a Lamy Al-Star without an inkwell a syringe or something of the like.

My first fountain pen was the lamy al star. I got it over the safari because i expected to be a lil heavier. While it definitely feels good and i love the pen i do wish it was a bit heftier. It just feels too light it my hands it’s kinda odd.

The pocket clip is very useful, not like the skinny ones that can only clip some paper.
