This burly lock is as tough as its namesake city and earned high scores across all performance metrics. It even withstood a car jack. Plus, it has a "Diamond" rating from Sold Secure, which grants you some peace of mind when locking your bike in urban areas. 
It should be no surprise that something that can withstand a car jack's force also carries a hefty weight. It shouldn't be surprising, but this lock is very heavy. The mounting bracket is terrible- it sags horribly because there in no way to provide extra mechanical advantage when tightening the strap. I do not like their policy of only paying for theft if you don't have additional insurance coverage, yet they only cover to $4000.  It is big enough to fit around the colossal downtube of my Specialized ebike, and it seems like it will be hard to defeat

 I just gave up and am hanging it from the top bar and that's working for me. I saw others who have reviewed this product just put the lock in their backpack.  Fingers crossed this is the last lock I'll ever need to buy! I'm not disappointed with my purchase but wouldn't recommend it for everyone (due to its weight and size and bracket limitations).

 It is a bit heavy, which I like, but someone who doesn't live in a such a bike-thief rampant location as I do may want to go for something lighter. I would rate the overall quality of the lock itself (and keys) 5 stars if reviewed on its own.  The FlexFrame bracket is a bit disappointing, given how quickly it starts slipping. If it worked well for months before degrading, I'd give it a pass, but unless it's hanging upside-down from the top bar, I think it would start to lean stiffly left or right within 2 days for most people

 Truly and I learned too late the new standard is to use the forgetabout it chains which are more expensive and very , very heavy . I use this when I leave my bike unattended overnight doing the full lockup with cable on accessories with the bike indoors . I have never heard of anyone using the insurance to see if they pay for a theft and I hope I never have too . If I ever build another home I will make sure to engineer items to lock too over just having the bike wheels locked to the frame or in the way of my work bench fastened to it 

This is the Gold Standard

 It is a bit heavy but it has to be. The size is perfect for me to attach it to a regular bike rack going through my front tire and the body of my hybrid bike, and the body of my bike is thick. Some racks are thicker and I can only get it around the body. This is good, you don't want any extra room or a thief can get leverage and pry the bike lock apart

No ones getting through this easily!

Seems solid

This lock is hefty. I have no doubt that my bike is safe when I lock it up with this lock. It is large enough to easily maneuver around bike racks, street signs, etc. I have two issues with the lock, though

Secure but not the easiest to use

  This thing is totally robust. Very well made and solid. It is also long enough to be able to find secure things on a regular street to lock unto. Unfortunately, solid + robust = weight

4 Stars not because of it's security, but because of the weight which also affects the bracket. However, these are minor inconveniences for the peace of mind of having your precious bike waiting for you when you come back to it.  This thing is totally robust. Very well made and solid

 Be warned, it is very heavy. The only other minor thing to be warned is about the bracket that helps you attach it to your bike while not in use. It's a bit of a pain to install it, and since the lock is so heavy, after many rides (6 months of almost daily rides in my case) it will come loose a bit, which means to re-tighten it you will have to undo the bracket and basically almost reinstall it all over again. Note: The mini version of this lock is even more secure, but I can't imagine how insanely hard would be to find safe things to lock unto on the road with the smaller length

 It is also long enough to be able to find secure things on a regular street to lock unto. Unfortunately, solid + robust = weight. Be warned, it is very heavy. The only other minor thing to be warned is about the bracket that helps you attach it to your bike while not in use

BEST SECURITY LOCK for all practical purposes.
