You really have to use the ring to deploy it from the sheath on this knife, but i found again airsoft and unloaded airsoft right that, instead of having to drop the knife or or fire one-handed, once you get your gun free that because of the ring, you Can get a decent, two-handed, knight and grip on your gun if you have to employ it and if you have multiple attackers, you might want this again, because this can go in all directions

 I will uh say yes with the caveats: uh, i don't know what happened there, but yeah be ready, uh to have nothing else in your pocket and you have to practice with this thing, especially if you're using it with your weak hand. With your non-dominant hand, it takes a while to get that draw stroke, the index knife to find the whole loop. But if you do that yeah, this thing is actually pretty awesome, and with that i will leave you with my admonishment two draw your knives only in just purpose: sheath them only with honor and remember without knives. Life would be dull and pointless

 I'd put it to the level of sharpness of a cheap Ozark Trail knife from Wal-Mart, but at the same time it's easy as hell to sharpen.

Don't expect a quick draw or anything

 So I can't really say it's Kydex or anything like that, but it doesn't feel plasticky to me, but I don't know, I've been wrong about some stuff before, so there we go. Now I do like the fact that it came with, well, inside the thing it's a limited lifetime warranty, the little star driver to be able to have a replacement screw, and you can swap this out. I can see some paper flakes and some other stuff on the blade, but okay. And just as we've been doing recently, yeah, like right there needs to be touched up

What can I say? When I saw a Instagram post by Ka-Bar I knew i had to have this little beauty. In my opinion it is a great self defense/last ditch choice. The fact it has Ka-bar's stamp of approval just sealed the deal for me

 Hey all you viewers of Medinimulator, how are we doing today?

 Alright, we've got something so stinking brand new from KBAR, there's only really one web

 Today we're going to take a look at yet another combo from KBAR and the Tactical Defense Institute.

 Now I know, for all you guys who like to see the back of the box, there you go, but I've

 got some questions about these because on KBAR's website some of this is a little different.

 I saw this on a KBAR Instagram post and I instantly fell in love with it.

 I know a lot of you remember I have brought at least three that I can recall from the

 You're going to find a folding blade by those guys sitting in there.

 Now I really liked, as they called it before, the TDI large and small.

 But this one, I can see a lot more functionality to it, plus the fact it's easier stored in

 your pocket to be able to grab, especially with the little ring right here.

 We're going to get into all that fun stuff right now.

 Like I said, this is a cooperation with the TDI, which is the Tactical Defense Institute.

 John is a 30-year law enforcement veteran who after he got basically end of watch, I

 hope that's the right word I'm using, or his tour was done, I know end of watch is death,

 When his time as a uniformed officer was over, he spent his time creating gear to help sworn

 officers defend themselves in times of jeopardy, not to mention military members and other

 So I think that's really cool how he's still giving back.

 Now like I said, I saw it on K-Bar's Instagram.

 Only place I could find it is K-Bar, so all these stats are coming from K-Bar's website.

 It's got an overall length of about 7.75 inches.

 The blade is about 3.188 inches, and the handle is a little bit over four.

 Now it's got a weight to it of 6.4 ounces, so you can think of it as a heavy folding

 blade that fits in your pocket really, really comfortably.

 It's got a plain edge, as you can see, with a hollow grind.

 It has that black traction coating on there that's supposed to help against rusting, corrosion,

 you know, scratch resistance, all that fun.

 The blade steel on it is AUS-8A stainless steel with a 57-59 Rockwell rating.

 On the back right here, it says the handle is Zytel.

 On K-Bar, it basically says it's nylon reinforced scales, or glass reinforced nylon, basically.

 So if that's Zytel, they at least got it right and made it textured so it's not smooth and

 It's got a good grip to it that you don't feel like, if you've bought any of the Becker

 series with K-Bar, their scales are really slick that you're going to lose control of

 Now I've seen this on K-Bar's website as plastic, and I believe, yeah, also here it says hard

 So I can't really say it's Kydex or anything like that, but it doesn't feel plasticky to

 me, but I don't know, I've been wrong about some stuff before, so there we go.

 Now I do like the fact that it came with, well, inside the thing it's a limited lifetime

 warranty, the little star driver to be able to have a replacement screw, and you can swap

 So when it sits in your pocket, it's really cool how it just slides right in like that

 So basically, it's in, it's out, it's ready to go.

 And you can carry it left hand, right hand style, obviously tip down.
