Fischer and Nordica are both race pedigree brands, and K2 has been more of a freestyle/big mountain brand over the years, as a result the K2 Mindbender is like a 4WD Cadillac. It's smooth, predictable, stable, and generally a great ski to crush with.

I skied several days on k2 mindbender 108ti - very stable ski - in groomers feelt like frontside ski, and in fresh pow - not very playful (at least for me). But one thing is that such a stable skis are heavy and stiff (most of them have metal layers)- Head kore is something in between - light and stiff. Sometimes rocker profile and flex of skis matter more than waist of skis - in terms of powder performance.

These skis are prime in 6-12inch pow days and are okay on groomers (but not ideal). I would probably grab (1) unless you are planning on being very picky about conditions and doing a lot of storm chasing. (1) is also a good match with your 88s - if you go for (2) you’ll frequently encounter conditions where your 88s are too narrow and your 112ishs are too wide to be optimal.

K2 Mindbender 108ti in 186cm: This is the only ski that I wanted to go back and ride 2x. It did just about everything the Armadas did but they were slightly more playful without the carbon and I couldn't put my finger on it but they were just more FUN to ski.
