 Hey skiers, it's Bob with SkiEssentials.com.

 This is the Dispatch 110, a really interesting new ski from K2.

 They've kind of joined this kind of hybrid 50-50 resort touring ski movement, and they've

 really kind of made a splash, especially with the construction of the ski.

 But there are some very interesting things about the shaping and the profile that make

 this thing different from a lot of other hybrid tourers out there on the market today.

 You know, when you think about it, putting it up against like a Blizzard Hustle 11 or

 something like that, it definitely has more of a straight line mentality, a little bit

 more of a performance and stiffness character to it.

 And it kind of makes sense with what K2 is trying to do.

 They also have their more touring-specific wayback model, so this thing fits nicely into

 We do start with a Polonia Wood Core, and then we get their Titanil Hexbeam.

 So it's not every day we talk about touring skis with metal, so it's exciting to do that

 As opposed to their other skis, you know, they have Disruption that uses I-beam, and

 they have the Mindbender, which uses Y-beam.

 Now they're using Hexbeam in these Dispatch skis.

 And then when you get to the top, the idea is that you have, you know, an open area below

 You don't need to cut across the trail and carve turns.

 You can put your own spin and style on it.

 That's where the longer turn radius is really helpful.
