Astonishingly nice pen for the price.
First Jinhao pen I bought. Was skeptical and hesitant. Delighted with purchase. Pen looks nice, writes beautifully. It's thin. If you want a heavy, thicker pen, get a Jinhao 159 (an homage to/knockoff of the Montblanc 149; but the Montblanc is $940 and the Jinhao is about $12--so assuming the Montbl...
Jinhao 51A red acrylic fountain pen F
I have to say that this is a pen to a cost point is good value. Sure, I would personally rather invest a bit more and get an even greater pen if this would be one of few pens. As it is now, it’s a cheap functional pen with very few flaws

Tips or lessons learned during your journey into fountain pens.
1) Price is not a measure for writing experience. I have a couple of Pilot pens that cost 50 times as much as my wooden barreled Jinhao 51a and I enjoyed writing with these very different pens on an equal footing without clear distinction which is the better writer. 2) The ideal pen does not exist.
Jinhao 51A Fountain Pen Review — PASTOR AND PEN
It performs way better than its sub-$8 price category, and it comes in several attractive colors. Some of my readers might dig this option in purple and red. Fountain pen newbies desiring to add to their collection and not bust their budgets should consider the Jinhao 51A and Bobby’s shop
Items to buy to improve life
I am an avid writer (pen and paper) and was getting pretty disgusted with how many pens I went through ad had to have on hand (due to constantly losing them). I got 2 fountain pen and a bottle of ink last year, and it has really been excellent and much more mindful for me. I have *a pen* that I carry (the nicer one stays at home)*. * I would recommend the Pilot Metropolitan or Jinhao 51A and Waterman's inks.

\- **Jinhao 51A \*EF nib, new\***. A nice and cheap daily workhorse, each pen came with a converter saving a lot of time for changing/refilling cartridges. Bought in pair because it was cheaper with the shipping cost.
