Jabra Evolve2 40

The AirPods Pro doesn't make me sound as podcast-y, which is why I switched to the Evolve 40. 2.

At top volumes, it doesn’t distort, and there’s plenty of deep low-end..Bill Callahan’s “Drover,” a track with far less deep bass in the mix, gives us a better sense of the headset's general sound signature. The drums on this track can sound overly thunderous on bass-forward headphones, but the drivers here deliver a pretty accurate depiction, with some subtly added body and roundness, but nothing that sounds thunderous.

I recently bought a new pair of Jabra Evolve2 40 UC and I decided to update it using Jabra Direct. I went into the software and the current firmware I had was 1.15 and the latest it showed was 1.20. However, when I finished the update, it showed Return code 18 and my headphones were stuck on FWU mode. The light on the device was solid purple and the device could no longer be detected by windows.

On the plus side, they're well-built, comfortable, and offer amazing battery life. Their sound profile is fairly well-balanced and versatile enough for hearing people clearly on phone calls and listening to music.

On top of that, the housing creaks whenever I take a step or turn my head, which sounds very loud in the headphones. Lastly... this headphones were advertise as being able to connect to 8 devices. I bought them specific for that because my Bose QC35 could only do 2 devices at a time and since I'm working from home I have 3 devices, 2 computers and 1 phone. The drivers also deliver excellent sonic performance, on par with similarly priced dedicated headphones. The lack of Bluetooth seems like a missed opportunity, but at this price, it’s hard to complain.

I am currently using my jabra evolve2 40 plugged into my Dell laptop via wired usb connection. If I listen to audio without using a mic the sound is crystal clear.

I just got the Evolve2 40 and I’m using it with a MacBook Pro running the latest Big Sur beta. I’m having a few issues:. - Jabra Direct is mostly blank - I can’t see any settings. - It also throws an error about it being able to connect to the headset (even though it does show up in Direct).
