j7 is a redesigned i7 recently upgraded to include enhanced obstacle avoidance. For robotic mopping, iRobot's Braava Jet 240 is great for smaller hard surface areas - like kitchen and/or bathrooms. M6 shines in the homes with navigation AI improvements for more non-carpeted surface areas.

Basically, the Jet 240 is a one-room-at-a-time cleaner, and after each room, you'll have to swap out the pad and charge the battery yourself, making the whole process much more hands-on than the latest Roombas, one of which can take care of a whole floor of your home with little to no supervision and can even find its docking station and charge itself when it necessary.

The total price was to the penny what we would have paid for the i3+ every where else, but we got the Costco extras thrown in for free. Costco.com also carries the i7+ and a couple other models and brands. We bought the Braava Jet from costco.com as well. Enjoy your new Roomba!

The Braava Jet 240 is small, quiet, relatively inexpensive, and does a nice job cleaning your floors.

The 240 is a simple “up and down” mopping robot. No mapping, no WiFi (has Bluetooth). Sprays water, mops it up. Works ok. You have to charge the battery separately, then install it.

I fill my tank one a week or so. The Braava 240 is small, dumb and you have to change the battery, and fill it under the tap every time you use it - which is a pain. It will mop everywhere though. Has no wifi.

I received my Braava jet today. I have used both the "sweep" option and the 'wet" mop option. My house is an open floor plan, no carpet.
