 Alright, so this is IOGears Wireless HD Digital Kit. And essentially what this is, is a wireless transmitter and receiver combo for devices with HDMI outputs. You can set up on this one, you can set up two TVs, wireless up to 100 feet, and it's an easy out of sight installation. It just makes it a small form factor, so it can fit behind the TV very well

 So I called up and they walked me through it. Good customer service. It was real easy, I added how to get the IR working below. I've had this for two months now and it’s still working great

 Great product and purchase. Does everything I wanted. Thinking about getting rid of all my cable boxes, but one, and just use this.  IR instructions just connect the IR wire to the main device and place the sensor in front of the cable box sensor

This product has worked flawless. I was really skeptical about this but I can assure you that you don't have to be. I have my cable box in my living room and I wanted to add a TV in the kitchen, about 30-40 ft away. I did not want to run cable wires and add another cable box in the house

Great product if you want to extend HDMI wirelessly to another TV

 You need the receiver visible to use the remote so can't mount behind the tv, already runs hot and doesn't look like it will last long for constant outdoor use. I think I will try a 4x2 hdmi splitter/amp solution and just run a long cable to the patio. Less clutter and no volatility with overlapping wireless signals. Indoors it works well to at least 30 feet and iIs a good solution for a game room, bedroom where you don't want to pay an extra $15 a month for an additional receiver from your satellite/cable provider

 As you can tell from the mixed reviews your wireless network at home will effect how well this unit syncs. Wi-Fi on the same frequencies can cause interference. I have a second Wi-Fi extender unit in my bedroom on the other side of the wall where I mount my tv. The unit cycles through frequencies at that spot and will lose signal sometimes

Updated 12/7/2012 I received updated units from IO/Gear. WORKS LIKE A CHARM>>>>>>>>>>  There follow up was excellent. Larry at IO Gear support is a true asset to his company. He was emailing me as soon as the new units came out

UPDATE 11/16/2012 -Just received an email from IOGear support. They have a fix for the comcast issue, and the fix is to replace the unit i bought with a new one

  EDIT: UPDATE - 7-10-17 It died. Well after a year of random disconnects while watching, and a year of playing around with it, I've figured out the problem. BAD DESIGN! (LOL! You were expecting something ELSE? :-) ) Seriously, it's the receiver. The stupid thing finally died completely (just after the 1 year warranty, of course), so being a Tech, I checked it out

  Besides, he just confirmed to me I either had a DOA or his product doesn't work with ANY of my equipment! So what DOES this stupid thing support? Sony? NOPE! Panasonic?, NOPE! TIVO?, NOPE! Yamaha?, NOPE! Denon?, NOPE!  What a piece of garbage.  Bad Quality Control if it's DOA, Bad support list of equipment, and ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED!! Ridiculously bad product & HORRIBLE Customer Support!! OMG! UPDATE - FAILED & A FIX FOR THIS THING!!

 This in and of itself works fine, but ended up having other issues when it came to certain input device sources. Playing games through the devices connected in this manner worked out fine (on the 360/wiiU for instance), but any attempt to play disc based media (dvd or blu-ray) through other devices (360/ps3/ps4) had the tendency to cause it to start to drop connection after a short while (Netflix/streaming seems to be fine so far). Speaking with IOGEAR support i got mixed responses on the cause, with most representatives defaulting to the stance that if it works when connected directly to the device then it is a problem with the interaction between the device and the amp/receiver, but that technically the device is working properly. And there does not seem to be a consistent stance on how well using a receiver in between will work across brands supposedly due to variations in how EDID and other information are handled between them (but again i got mixed responses depending on who i talked to, some more informative than others)

Ultimately i chose to have the source input run directly into the transmitter for the moment, and use the output hdmi port from the transmitter into the amp/receiver to retain audio output to the speakers. This does allow for a steady signal in all cases i have attempted so far, but is rather disappointing that better steps were not taken to ensure proper compatibility with what i am sure will be a common configuration and use case for this type of device

Great device when it works, but be careful of your placement and device configuration to get the best results.
