 So i'm going to add in just a touch of vanilla, creamer and a little bit of milk and i'm going to go ahead and start this and i'm going to brew a cup of coffee so that i can show you what the foam looks like when it's Done so let me go ahead and make a cup of coffee real, quick and i'll be right back with you all right, so i just used my instant pod coffee maker and made an eight ounce cup of coffee. That'S the smallest cup that you can make using the k-cups. So, as you can see, we have a little bit of room here in the top of our cup for some foam all right, so we're going to get started with making our foam i'm going to use a little bit of vanilla creamer in here, not too much And i did not add any coffee to my sugar. I just made it black because i'm going to add this foam and the vanilla creamer gives it some sweetness

 So again, i bought this frother at walmart yesterday for 29.99 and i had to go to a couple of walmarts before i found it. So if you have one, i don't think they are shipping these. I think you have to actually pick up in the store, but i'd say 30 dollars worth it

 All right, so that is pretty cool. Let'S go ahead, open it up all right right here on the top of the box, we have our little instructions, always good to have instructions. We have cardboard, let's get that out of the way, and this is what we're looking at all right so over here we have our base with a cord right here set that aside. Oh, that's it for that side, and here we have our milk frother

 So as you can see, the lid is starting to steam up and we should have some delicious froth here in a moment. Okay, so the instant milk frother did not make any noise it just kind of stopped frothing. So i'm assuming that that means it's done most instant pot products beep when they're done doing whatever they're doing so. Let'S check it out

 Let'S try it on this setting [ Music ]. So on these three settings it does heat the milk up. We can see the milk is starting to heat up. We'Re already at 115, 120 and at any time, if you want to stop it, you can hit this bottom button that stops it automatically or that stops

 That made a very nice rich frog, okay, so let's brew our espresso shot into it and you can see how much froth you get. So you can see on that setting. That is a lot of of the foam and there's the espresso shot right about between there and there and then the rest is hot milk. So again on that setting right there, that creates a lot of froth

 Okay. So now, let's try it on a cold froth. I'Ve got it filled up again to that that middle maximum line. This time, it's not going to heat it up, but it will froth it still

 If you see it right here, it's a little hard to see, but it's got two pictures of a cappuccino on a latte, so that max setting is for these two settings and then there's also that's also the max for the cold right there. If you see the cold, that's the max for the cold too, okay. So let's pour some water into that. First max line

[UPDATED AT BOTTOM - 09/01/2022] Seriously. Most purchases are either okay, indifferent, or just plain bad. Rarely do you make one that you find yourself REALLY happy over. This has been one of those rare purchases for me

 Rarely do you make one that you find yourself REALLY happy over. This has been one of those rare purchases for me.  My prior Keurig Duo broke down after only a couple of years of service, but long enough to discover that I didn't have much use for the pot brewing function. Still, I prefer to follow the Alton Brown rule of only one unitasker in the kitchen, so I chose this little beauty after doing some research into the unnecessary complexity of espresso brewing and deciding upon the Nespresso system for such a function

 This seems to slow the brewing function slightly to allow for better flavor transfer from the coffee in the pod, but not enough to noticeably affect performance time. It does, however, have a positive impact on one of my favorite flavored coffee pods that always tasted way too strong at the lowest setting, but too weak at the next setting. The bold setting seems to take the flavor intensity back an ounce to make it just right at the larger setting.  As for the Nespresso side, I must admit to having no prior experience with any other Nespresso based device, so it is definitely novel for me

Works well to heat and froth milk/half & half/cream. Heats and froths a full volume of refrigerator temp milk much more quickly than I was expecting for a 110v appliance. Does a good job making foam and heated milk for various coffee drinks though to be honest I haven't really tried the settings other than the default which makes good volume of foam and a good amount of warm milk - haven't felt the need to change the setting. The size/shape fit well on the counter and don't take up a lot of space

A nice milk warmer/frother with decent economics, simple controls and a small countertop profile.

Nice to have options

  I had the Milk Labs Frother, but after maybe 6 months of use, the metal disc/frother stopped working. This is a better design in that area, but the Milk Labs frother was much easier to use and clean. But that's a useless feature if it doesn't actually froth.  And as with ALL frothers, I recommend having/buying a small silicone spatula to get all the frothed milk that sticks to the inside of the frother "bowl"

It does a great job frothing milk. Just pour in the milk and press a button. Nice foamy head even on the lower froth level. Very happy with that side of it

 But that's a useless feature if it doesn't actually froth.  And as with ALL frothers, I recommend having/buying a small silicone spatula to get all the frothed milk that sticks to the inside of the frother "bowl".

Stopped working after about two months 😞

 It also cools the hot chocolate off just enough to drink it without burning your tongue. I use non-homogenized cream top whole milk and it didn't foam too well with the cold foam option. Even though it didn't foam well on the cold setting, it still tasted great after pouring it into a cup of hot chocolate. The heat from the hot chocolate melts the cream top from the milk giving it a luscious flavor
