Thermometer works great, Android app is good, but app alarms need to be louder!

Not sure how I feel about all this.......

 It is accurate and precise enough for the purpose (I checked it against lab-grade non-digital instruments and it read within a couple degrees of actual temperature, although less so at lower temperatures below about 100F), and the ability to run four probes off the one module is very useful. The probes and sensor unit are each pretty rugged, and a full battery charge lasts plenty of time.  On the other hand, the wifi functionality is a major disappointment, and this kills a lot of the reason for which I bought the unit (i.e

 I am leaving my original review but upgrading my 1 star to a 3. It would be 4 if it had worked out of the box & 5 if it had worked out of the box and all of the features worked. Can't get it to sync with phone

 Set the alarm to go off when your meat hits 195? The alarm goes off on the base unit next to your grill. Not on your phone. You have to constantly open the app and connect to the base unit to check your temps. So instead of constantly going out to the grill to check temps, you’re constantly opening the app on your phone, only to discover you waited a few minutes too long to check and your meat is 5 degrees over and running down to pull it

Good thermometer. Frustrating app.

 I'd have given it 4 stars but the app you have to use is apparently a smart home app and was trying to prompt me to set up all kinds of SH devices in addition to just this thermometer. Took me a while to navigate through all that and just get to what I needed to monitor temps.

Factory probe calibration was spot on, app is a bit bloated with other smart home tech.

 It is very strange to have a USB-A to USB-C cable that isn't interchangeable with others. Not sure what the deal is there, but I wonder if that's the real issue behind some of the "it wouldn't charge" complaints.  With alarms that don't work, this device was almost entirely useless to me. These are a key feature and the poor app entirely kills this functionality

It just stinks to have to babysit your phone because you can't count on the app staying connected and alerting you if anything happens

App is garbage

Really like this device. I previously had a multiple probe temp bluetooth thermometer but did not like the fact that it only provided the measurements when I was in bluetooth range. This device fixed that. With the wifi I can run to the store or gym while keeping an eye on my smoker temps

 This is a limitation to removing me from having to check the temps frequently. I have had same issue with other thermometers and thing it has something to do with how iphone limits background refreshes. If Inkbird can figure this out then this thermometer would be flawless.

 It still needed time.  Once it reached internal temp, it was only off by 2-3° from the mk4 and my thermoworks. So.

 Unfortunately, I am disappointed with it and am convinced I did not get what I paid for. I will say that the probes ore relatively accurate, and that the unit is easy to set up. However, the app is not all that great: It often fails to provide the temperature graphs that I rely on to see how the cook is progressing over time. I get data error messages that tech support has not adequately addressed; The only way to view graphs from previous cooks is to turn the unit on, plug in the probes, and then find the date of the cook
