You have to be more conscientious in how you pack your backpack, but they do cut your weight even more, but it's a brilliant pack highly recommend it....

I have an Osprey Exos 58 that I'm very happy with. At 2.6 lbs it's quite a bit lighter than the Aether or the Atmos. Though if I was buying a new pack today I'd look very seriously at for the [HLM 3400 (55L, 1.98 lbs).
