Hp elitebook 840/845: Very good machine on windows, not much info on Linux based OS support. HP Envy x360 15: Another good windows machine with not much info on Linux support.
[USA] ~$1500 laptop, capable of gaming but doesn't stand out in a professional setting
Thank you for your great suggestions. I ended up choosing the HP Envy 15 with GTX 1660 TI graphics.

Need a 2-in-1 laptop for drawing highly detailed dick pics, veins and all
Of your options, I suggest the envy x360. The ryzen 7 is the most op chip in laptops now. You can always upgrade storage and looks solid.
HP Envy x360 15 (2021) review: A lot of laptop at a reasonable price
Sarah Tew/CNET
With PC makers moving more toward using taller 16:10- and 3:2-ratio displays instead of widescreen 16:9 panels, models like the HP Envy x360 15 might soon be a rarity. On the other hand, 15.6-inch two-in-ones are already fairly uncommon. Still, this Envy is strong competition a...

The Best Windows Laptop. Period.
I’ve been looking for a new laptop and I keep finding myself coming back to the envy 15. The xps seems kinda underwhelming by comparison.
Verdict - Outperforms Most Other 15.6-inch Convertibles
Test unit provided by HPThe AMD-powered 2021 Envy x360 15 is essentially a leaner and faster version of the Spectre x360 15. Owners would be skipping out on a few luxuries like the gold trims, diamond-cut corners, faster SD reader, Thunderbolt support and IR camera, but core characteristics like keyboard tactility, colors, and chassis quality remain strong.

HP Omen 15 (if you want some more gaming/hardware power... you can try to find it on sale for around $1000/1100)... has a nicer keyboard and build design than most of the other "gaming laptops" (that aren't Lenovo), good (but not amazing) screen, power, thermals, and is more quiet than others. HP Envy x360 is a nicely built machine, and super-portable, at a low price, if you want something a little more simple, sleek, 3:2 screen ratio, and power enough to get most basic tasks done efficiently (and really nice touch screen response, if you wanted that). Acer Swift and Aspire series all had nice feeling keyboards, just a tad lighter/shallower than Lenovo's I think. Asus VivoBook had a really nice feeling keyboard, and overall is a well made, slim laptop that is in that price range I think.
HP Envy x360 (2020) review: AMD wins again
Between the Envy x360 and other $800 laptops, there’s no contest. This is aiming at the big leagues; this is a Spectre.

HP Envy x360 15 (2021) Review
It's unfortunate that our test unit didn't come with a pen and we would have liked to see a 4K screen, but if you're in the market for a presentation-friendly desktop replacement and can't afford the Editors' Choice-award-winning Spectre x360 15, the Envy is a first-class choice..If you crave an affordable big-screen convertible, HP's Ryzen-based Envy x360 15 is a fast and right-priced option, as long as you're satisfied with the full-HD display (instead of a 4K one) in its AMD incarnation
