New MacBook Air released, pricing now starts at $999, features Magic Keyboard
Lenovo swaps the FN and CTRL compared to everyone else, cannot stand that keyboard as it messing with muscle memory. After moving from a Dell XPS-13 to a HP Envy 13, HP has the best keyboard experience on a laptop. Having the PU, PD, END, HOME as a separate column on the right makes life grand, no FN + action needed to use some of the most useful keys when reading or viewing content.

Right now my top picks are the HP Envy x360 and Thinkpad L13 Yoga. Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase.
A new "ceramic white" HP Envy x360 with a Ryzen 4700U, 16 GB of memory and HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen just landed on my doorstep so I've been giving it a little tire-kicking. Initial impressions of the hardware are very positive. I got the 400 nits screen and it's just what I wanted after seeing what 250 nits on a Lenovo laptop looks like.

HP Omen 15 (if you want some more gaming/hardware power... you can try to find it on sale for around $1000/1100)... has a nicer keyboard and build design than most of the other "gaming laptops" (that aren't Lenovo), good (but not amazing) screen, power, thermals, and is more quiet than others. HP Envy x360 is a nicely built machine, and super-portable, at a low price, if you want something a little more simple, sleek, 3:2 screen ratio, and power enough to get most basic tasks done efficiently (and really nice touch screen response, if you wanted that). Acer Swift and Aspire series all had nice feeling keyboards, just a tad lighter/shallower than Lenovo's I think. Asus VivoBook had a really nice feeling keyboard, and overall is a well made, slim laptop that is in that price range I think.
Hp envy x360 13 vs lenovo ideapad flex 5 (and similar laptops)
I have to get a new laptop, and i want a 2 in 1 that i can use to do pretty much everything (from school to some light games) , and its been a month since i started my search for the most premium, powerful and overall balanced 2 in 1. The one i had under my radar since the start is the hp envy x360 13 (Ryzen 7 4700u 16GB Ram, 512GB). I have seen a lot of reviews and it seems really good for the things i have to do.

Fresh from Costco
I needed something to replace my 5-year-old Lenovo Yoga and its woefully underpowered m5 CPU. I wanted something on the small side (< 15") with a touchscreen and a minimum of 16 GB RAM. I originally purchased an HP Envy x360 13", but after HP pushed back my ship date to nearly two months, and after reading about the hinge failures on that model, I decided to cancel.

Verdict
Test unit provided by HPThe AMD-powered 2020 Envy x360 13 looks and performs better than what its relatively low price would otherwise suggest. It's essentially a less expensive version of the 2019 Spectre x360 13 that doesn't sacrifice chassis quality or system performance to reach the lower price point.
Ryzen 7 4700U - stick with OEM GPU drivers or use latest AMD?
On my HP Envy x360 13-ay0000 with 4700U, the newest stable driver from AMD as of December 2020 (20.11. * something released in November, can't recall exactly) would cause my screen to flash once after I closed GTAV, but the OEM driver has never had such issue.
