How did you come up with the idea for this product?

We were living in NYC and yet all of us were from somewhere else and missing home. In the winter of 2016, we sought out to find a way to keep that place with you, no matter where you live. Homesick’s hand-poured candles began as a hobby in our kitchen, and to this day we still create each unique candle by hand, one by one.  I bought this candle for my high school best friend who moved to Italy. The design is very simple but cute. The scent smells very good and represents Mississippi pretty well. My only problem with the product was the price

 I was desperate for a quick goodbye gift so I just bought it, but I'm not sure that I would spend that much again. This candle is perfection. It's got a lovely, strong, not too overwhelming scent. It smells like pine needle-covered squishy forest floor and damp for leavings by a campfire and vanilla and patchily and all the good things in life it brings a bit of the Pnw to me

Got this for my husband. At first we loved it but after some time we were not found of the smell. My hubby also says the smells are nothing like Illinois for him.

Decent scent but HORRIBLE quality

 Smell was nice enough. Nothing great, fresh and flower like but light, not strong, most importantly not stinky either, was worried about how it might not smell good. As a gift, it was a hit!

LOVE the scent of the Illinois candle. Unfortunately, the candle is fast-burning though and if you let it go for more than 30mins, the glass gets black from the smoke.

This Illinois candle smells AMAZING!!! Idk if it reminds me of the smell of Illinois or not but it seriously smells so good! I’ve burnt it for hours already and feel like the wax has hardly gone down! I burn bath and body works 3 wick candles all the time and they would be over half gone in this amount of time! The smell fills my house. I love the simplistic look of the candle and of course that it has my home state on it! Great gift!
