Hisense H8G

The H8G received the newer Android TV/Google TV UI and with it, noticeable system speed/reliability improvements (very happy)! The H8F has not received this upgrade.

Ive had a Hisense H8G for a year now and it has been nothing but trouble. Horrible compared to Samsung, and the customer service is absolutely awful.

The picture quality isn't as great as I anticipated, but it's not bad either. You have turn off the motion enhancers and play around with the settings to your customized quality. H8G picture is great but i've had issues with stuttering - processor is apparently pretty weak and it has tiny storage for apps. The USB port is not very reliable for adding internal storage - it's very picky on recognizing USB drives. Stick to Sandisk USB 2.0 and it may work. Even so mine regularly forgets there is a USB and tells me it is our of storage.

I have a 2020 Hisense H8G which has Android TV built in. The quality of Netflix (Youtube, Amazon, etc..) is exactly the same as the Roku HD box I have.

The [Hisense is better than the Hisense H8G. The U6G has much better black uniformity and better reflection handling, so it's a bit more versatile.

It has wide viewing angles like an IPS. But I don't see the typical IPS glow in full field black content. • The letterbox bars in cinema/film content can be a bit glowy instead of jet black. One upside of the H8G.

The U8G was purchased primarily for next-Gen Gaming. My issue isn’t with the television itself. Hisense has lost my business going forward because of the lack of customer service in resolving an issue they created with their own firmware update. I don’t know if they ever would have admitted this was an issue they created if I hadn’t seen it in these Subs and called them out on it during the 4th call with their Customer Care Department.
