Another recommendation, which despite being "low flow" is still the most intense shower I've ever had: High Sierra. It is a 1.5gpm, but FEELS like a firehose. Seriously, it hits harder than high-gpm showerheads

I've concluded that the bathroom is the most important room in my house, as it is the place of spiritual sanctuary. Therefore, I want to invest in a showerhead that will annihilate me. I've gone through a couple 2.5gpm, flow restrictor removed, and while they have a slight bite, it's not what I want. I don't want to nibbled by a toothless pigeon. I want the real thing. I want the full Godzilla hydrobreath, Blastoise Hydro Pump experience. The one that will bring about the Aquacolypse. What are my options?

5gph and claims to the contrary are snake oil.  If this feels like standing under a waterfall to you, you need to find better waterfalls! At head level where it's a concentrated cone, it actually feels really nice, I won't deny that. Shoulders are kinda mid, but ok. Back is as weak as I'd allow for a decent shower head

You didn't say what qualities you're looking for, but I'm a fan of High Sierra shower heads. They are all metal so they last forever. The 1.5 GPM version works decently well while saving a considerable amount of energy and water

 i live near lake erie so water pressure and having water isnt an issue but it expensive paying a water and sewer bill... originally it was on an original shower arm which was to low in height i installed it and initially it leaked so i put more teflon on it 10 wraps of tape and really tightened it down no leak and everything worked good so i said ok i am going to buy another shower arm flange and raise the height of the shower head i took the sierra off and put it on the one you see in the pic 10 wraps of tape and really tighten it down, now its 3 inches above my head and works great i just have to get use to having water that high pouring on me i do feel the price is excessive by about $15 but made in america made me pay a little more

sierra 1.5 gpm is a very nice showerhead providing a great shower but a bit pricey

 Based upon the similarities in appearance I assumed this one would be like those from the hotels. However, after receiving this showerhead and using it a few times, it didn't provide the same feeling as those hotel showerheads. My expectation might have been misplaced.  But, I was impressed with the quality and construction of this head

 After a week of using it, I ultimately switched back to the showerhead I previously had installed. I will keep this one though in case it's ever needed.
