This isn't the bike for you. - Exactly, that's the Giant Stance.

But there are much, much better full suspension bikes out there. The Stance uses a wacky single-pivot design so you don’t get the benefit of Giant’s tried-and-true Maestro suspension platform.

Stance is a piece of shit, sadly. SO many backwards design philosophies went into it. As far as im concerned Giant bikes start at the cheapest Trance. It's crazy how insanely better the chapest Trance is than the most expensive Stance when the prices are so similar.

Here’s what I would recommend: spend closer to 2000 and grab yourself a Giant Stance 29 3. For 2400 the dang thing has a a Z2 Bomber fork, Deore 12spd, Fox DSP rear shock, a dropper, and decent shimano brakes. I was in exactly your shoes and decided to go with this bike instead of the cheaper entry-level stance.

I really like the Cube Reaction Hybrid and Stereo 120 models, Specialized Tero, Trek Powerfly and Giant Stance E+. It boils down to a decent quality build for use on light trails and greenways.

Would definitely see myself riding it pretty hard as my skill progresses. I’ve read the buying guide, but every full suspension bike listed there is unavailable, seemingly either due to supply issues or just being outdated (prices have risen as well). However, pending everyone’s thoughts, I’ve narrowed it down to the Giant Stance 2 at $1720 and the Polygon D7.

The Stance 2 is a solid bike and will be a fun ride. Lots of people get bent out of shape over needing an enduro bike to ride anything that isn’t a super easy flow trail. You can ride plenty hard on the Stance and get good value out of it.

If you ride light/medium trails, jumps are not “over the street” and you don’t do “40ft drops to flat” then my guess would be Stance is a good bike for you. You won’t kill it and even of you do there’s a lifetime warranty on frame (I think at least, not 100% sure). There are not much reviews, but read those you find. Don’t mind the version (Stance 1 vs Stance 2) but mind the year.
