Small Chinese knife. NOT for SERIOUS USE....opens slow and not fully. lock is tight and sticks will loosen over time. blade ok not very sharp. size ok handle thick overall there are better EDC choices for less money. i will keep in desk but would not carry or rely on this .

The blade does not open to the lock position with the "assisted open" feature. Action feel "gritty". I oiled the pivot point and even loosened the bolt. Still doesn't open fully assisted. The spring is underpowered. Not the quality I expect from Gerber.

The spring is weak. I feel like I'm assisting the knife to open instead of it assisting me. If you hold the blade at the point of the spring activating and let go the spring is not strong enough on its own to open :/

It is a little difficult to open this knife due to the size of my hands. The blade bumps into my index finger causing the blade to not fully lock with out moving to a different hand hold.

Overall I am happy with the assisted open Mini Covert. Compared to my regular Mini Covert there are some differences. See images.
