So I bought a Vivosmart 4 a few weeks ago and while I like tracker, the Garmin Connect app (at least on iOS) is a total piece of crap. The UI feels 10 years outdated and the UX is totally unintuitive, it app only works with internet connectivity, I guess it's basically a different frontend to the web version (which also feels like version 1.0 built in 2010).

who here has made the switch from fitbit to garmin? thoughts?

The vivosmart 4 did a decent job connecting to my iPhone's GPS for walks/runs, and at least the Garmin app would tell me speed and not just 'pace'. The app also worked very well with MyFitnessPal, noticeably better than the Fitbit app.

I always go back to this device for a few reasons, but mainly - its shape. There are only a few fitness bands out there. I have no desire for a smartwatch at all and just want a fitness tracker. If you compare the current and last two generations of fitness trackers from other brands like the Garmin Vivosmart 4 or the Samsung Galaxy Fit, Fitbit blows them out of the water.
