So that's still problem that we find with this unit. But for the most part you know it's better knowing how many steps to take in than not at all.

The fitbit does a few things better, most notably its auto start recording a low-impact activity like a walk was much more accurate, and since I take a slow walk every day it's a small issue. The reminders to move are better implemented too, and like I said - the whole UX flow seems a little more slick. Oh BTW, for me the garmin's sleep tracking seems to be better, which I've learned goes against common knowledge.

As I sit here, I am wearing a Microsoft Band and a Fitbit Charger HR - both have 30 day return policies and no way I can wear two forever (they are quite big). How is it possible for this company to stay in business selling these unreliable devices. My Charge HR lasted less than a year before falling apart, the band broke after 9 months and I'm not abusive with these things.

Long story short, the watch cannot do the simple count steps add calories, log workout add calories thing that I could do with my ancient Fitbit charge hr. Did they improve any of these issues with wearos 3 and updated apps?.

EDIT 12/30/16--I hope this is my last edit! To address the treadmill accuracy I wrote about below: I have managed to get this tracker attached to my ankle, and get very accurate results this way. I have no idea if the heart monitor works on my ankle, but I'm guessing it probably does to some degree?...
